How do i avoid flakey makeup?
i have normal to dry-ish skin. i also have a mild case of rosacea.
i put on cetaphil mouisturizer.
i wear mac mineralize satinfinish SPF 15 in color NC25. then put on mac pressed blot powder in medium dark. then i apply clinique redness solutions instant relief mineral powder at 8:00 in the morning. then by 2:00, i have turned into a flaky mess on my face. what am i doing wrong?
I think it's because you're using too many layers on your face.
If there's too many layers, it will end up drying up your face which leaves you with flakes.
I would recommend going for only about two layers if you need more coverage. Such as a liquid foundation and sealing it off with a loose powder or translucent powder.
You could also try using a moisturizer that has a lighter weight feel to it. That way the makeup won't be too heavy on your face.
